STAFF at the Cadena Bakery in Oxford must have been sick of the sight of hot cross buns when they finished their lengthy shift.

June Wheeler, 17, a bakery apprentice, is pictured with some of the 90,000 buns the bakery produced in 1965.

The 22-strong workforce, led by manager Mr BH Clark, started baking at 10pm and worked through the night and on to 2pm on Maundy Thursday.
