This group of bikers are pictured in Sheep Street, Bicester, outside what is now the Iceland store and Corals, the bookmakers.
Behind the group in those days are Hawkins’s greengrocery and cafe and Lloyd’s Bank.
Some of your readers may recognise Raymond Grimes, second from the right, who, with his wife Pat, ran the Duke of Marlborough pub near Woodstock for nearly 20 years.
In the centre is Jack Middleton, who worked for Trinders cycle shop. He was involved in the TT races on the Isle of Man and was landlord of the Trigger Pond pub at Bucknell.
On the right is Mike Morgan, who ran the family business, Harris Morgan and Son Photography. Third from the right is Jess Honour – the others from the left are John Smith, Tony Hawtin and David Capel Smith.
