I refer to the picture of Headington United fans at Oxford station on their way to the FA Cup match at Stockport in 1954 (Memory Lane, November 24). My wife’s cousin sent us a clipping.

My wife, Jackie Nichol (nee Harrison), can see her dad, Fred Harrison, and her grampy, Lou Langford, in the photograph.

Fred is in the front row, third from the left, with his left hand raised.

He is wearing a Fair Isle jumper.

Grampy Langford is in the row behind.

He is one place to the right, rather than directly behind Fred. He has his right arm raised with pointed finger. He is wearing a cap.
