Witney mayor Eileen Young faced tough questioning when she met a group of schoolchildren at the town hall.
“Are you rich? Do you have to take exams?” were among the questions she was asked by pupils from Blake School, Cogges.
More than 50 nine to 11-year-olds called on the mayor as part of a project they were doing on the town in 1985.
They were shown around the town hall and allowed to inspect the mayor’s chain, the mace and the coat of arms.
