JUDITH Tracey made plenty of predictions when she took on the role of 'Krystle Ball' at an open day at East Oxford community centre.

However, her powers as a fortune teller deserted her on one burning question – who stole music equipment worth £1,200?

The centre, in Princes Street, held a day of fun and games on a seaside theme on a Saturday in 1985 to raise money for activities. The final event was an evening disco.

But when staff arrived on Sunday morning, they found all the disco equipment had disappeared, putting a damper on what had been a successful day.
