IN REPLY to the letters about the Woolworth Ladies’ football team (Memory Lane, July 7), we changed our name to Oxford Eagles because some of the girls who played for us did not work at Woolworths.
A league was formed and teams from around Oxfordshire took part. However, I never played for Rose Hill. I can name some of the players.
Many people, including members of the Oxford Central Conservative Club, said they saw my picture in Memory Lane.
