A date with a mace
OXFORD’S civic mace came under close inspection when a party of children from the Park Hospital in Headington visited the Town Hall.
The children, aged from eight to 16, were given a special look at the City Plate and other treasures. They are seen with Town Hall superintendent Leslie Boddy in 1978.
