PAST and present workers at Nuffield Press celebrated a milestone in the history of the company in 1985.
Organisers expected 200 staff and their families at a diamond jubilee open day in the company’s grounds in Hollow Way, Cowley, Oxford. But many more arrived to enjoy a barbecue and tour of the building.
They included 91-year-old Harry Waddle, of Fern Hill Road, Cowley, who worked in the printing trade for 52 years.
Kevin Bennett, 11, of Brasenose Driftway, Cowley, is pictured getting a slice from the ox roast served by chef Pete Davies.
