Teams of ‘mothers and babies’ charged round the village streets in 1976 taking part in a pram race. The event, which involved nine pub stops, was won by Chinnor football club, pictured above. The pram rider was Frank Brackenbury and his support team included Darren Bragington, Tony Baldwin, John Pearson, Dick Bailey and Matthew Walker.
Chinnor Youth Club organised a sale at the village hall in 1967 and raised £40 to boost its funds. Andrew Kas is seen taking customers’ money before starting the spinning wheel, one of numerous attractions.
