REVEALED behind door number 22 of our Badvent calendar are two men police believe stole nearly £1,000 worth of fuel in Witney.

The Oxford Mail and Thames Valley Police have been publishing pictures of wanted suspects every day in the run-up to Christmas in a bid to get them arrested before the year ends.

Two men were seen on CCTV forcing a gap in a metal fence at Station Lane Industrial Estate, between 7pm and 8pm on Saturday, November 17.

Once inside the yard, they stole around £665 of fuel by siphoning it from nine vehicles. And on November 25, police believe the pair returned – this time stealing £305 worth of fuel.

Police said they also may have come back on December 1 and December 9.

Loraine Wigley, from Witney CID, said: “Nearly £1,000 worth of fuel has now been stolen. The video shows two men and although it is not of the best quality, we are sure someone will recognise them.

“One of the men was wearing a distinctive black coat with a white patch on the hood, so we urge anyone who recognises it to get in touch.”
