Family escape from house fire

A FAMILY escaped uninjured from a house fire in Briary Way, Carterton, yesterday morning.
The fire service were called to the incident after smoke was seen coming out of a bedroom window at the three-storey semi detached house at 10.11am.
Four fire engines from Bampton, Witney, Burford and Abingdon were sent to the scene.
All six people living at the property had escaped before firefighters arrived. The fire is not being treated as suspicious.
