CARTERTON: More than 4,000 homes were without water for several hours yesterday morning.
Thames Water engineers were called to a burst water main in Dovetrees, off Upavon Way, in the early hours.
Company spokesman Craig Rance said about 4,300 properties were affected by the fault.
Mr Rance said: “A pipe in Dovetrees burst around 5.30am affecting water supplies to approximately 4,300 properties. We’re very sorry for the inconvenience.”
Supplies were reconnected by 9am.
