4,300 homes without water this morning

By Rhianne Pope
MORE than 4,000 homes in Carterton have been without water this morning.
Thames Water engineers are currently working on a burst water main in Dovetrees, off Upavon Way.
Company spokesman Craig Rance said the first calls had come in at 5.30am, but he expected water to be restored within the next hour.
The issue is causing some traffic disruption around Upavon Way and around 4,300 properties have been affected.
Mr Rance said: "A pipe in Dovetrees burst around 5.30 this morning affecting water supplies to approximately 4300 properties. We're very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.
"Our engineers are on site re-routing water around the network and everyone should be getting their supply back on over the next hour."
