Man rescued from mud in Wolvercote

An elderly man was rescued from the river at Port Meadow in Wolvercote after falling on the muddy banks.
The incident happened at about 5pm on Sunday.
Fire crews from Rewley Road, along with Kidlington’s Rescue Tender, were called, but the man had already been helped from the river by four students and another member of the public.
