Man disappears after trying to rob post office

BANBURY: A man who attempted to rob a post office this morning has disappeared.
The offender entered the Easington post office on Horton View road at 11.53 am and pointed an object believed to be a gun at the staff.
A member of staff then set off the alarm and the man ran away, but it is not known whether he stole anything.
No weapon was discharged, and no one was harmed, but two nearby schools were locked down as a precaution while police searched the area.
Officers are now examining CCTV footage from the shop.
