Second award for walk tours

OXFORD: Walking tours in Oxford have gained their second annual visitor attraction award.

Following a mystery shopper assessment, Oxford Official Guided Walking Tours were accredited by Visit England’s Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Scheme (VAQAS).

The evaluator took the Inspector Morse Official Guided Walking Tour, which runs every Saturday all year.

Instead of the purely ficticious 'Morse' getting the accoldae, surely Bus Users on Stagecoach routes 16/16A and 17 should have got the award for 'walking tours' as they wait for buses which either breakdown or never turn-up, and then have to walk to/from Oxford? A drinking pal of mine's Granny apparently told him that the ubiquitous 16/16A to Minchery Farm (Littlemore) apparently failed to show-up again last week at Cowley Centre, but counted no less than 11 buses going to Blackbird Leys during her wait. - many of which were apparently half-empty, at best! Wonder what Inspector Morse would have made of the 'missing bus saga' ?
