Oxford Mail: Anthony Church Anthony Church

OYEZ, Oyez, Oyez – the town crier of the City of Oxford is an award winner.

Anthony Church took part in the Huddersfield Town Crier competition over the weekend, sealing top spot.

Mr Church said: “It was the first time I have competed in the Huddersfield competition and to go and win was great. “The season is over now for me as far as competition is concerned – but I will still be out and about in Oxford – I have lots of work to do!”

Really BRILLIANT news for Mr Church, who really does more for tourism in Oxford than all those political leaflets which seem to create so much waste - and all without having to resort to FarcePages or Twattering - and at least one article and picture in the Mail which wasn't stolen by a certain Labour City Councillor, bless!
