NEW facilities at a retirement village in Oxford have been unveiled after an £800,000 investment.
Oxford East MP Andrew Smith officially opened a range of upgraded facilities at the 156-home extra care housing facility at Greater Leys on Friday.
The county council-funded scheme includes a new on-site care team base, dining room, kitchen and assisted bathroom in each of the large sheltered blocks.
The scheme is managed by GreenSquare housing, Catalyst Housing, Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council .

Mr Mellors said: “Not only does this new Greater Leys development offer well-established properties designed specifically for older people, it also provides residents with security and privacy.”
