Villager denies murder charge

A MAN accused of killing a 55-year-old Horspath woman has denied murdering her.

Stewart Dale appeared at Oxford Crown Court yesterday to enter his plea.

The 28-year-old, who wore a suit and tie, is charged with murdering Jenny Hume at his home in Prospect Park caravan site in Horspath.

Police were called to the scene early on Friday, May 18.

Ms Hume, of Hamel Walk in Oxford, was found dead at the scene.

The divorced mother-of-three was killed by a head wound and also suffered stab wounds, a post-mortem revealed.

Dale was remanded in custody ahead of a trial on December 3. It is expected to last for two weeks.
