CARTERTON: A decision on outline planning permission for a 40,000 sq ft Morrisons superstore has been deferred over concerns about parking, lorry routing and the impact on the town and neighbours.
The company hopes to build the four-storey shop in the old market site, off Black Bourton Road.

One set of people want the store in the middle close to the shops but don't appear to see a problem with traffic then others want it on the outskirts where cars will be needed to go shopping.
Glad I'm not a Planner, see what happened with the Cogges Link Road, a most vociferous "THEY" caused the whole scheme to be cancelled.

If Sainsburys had gone ahead we would have by now have an small Hotel, another public house and supermarket, plus the empty retail units may have other big name retailers.
