New medical post is tribute to doctor

OXFORD: A £190,000 post in memory of an Oxford doctor was announced yesterday.

The British Kidney Patient Association (BKPA) and Kidney Research UK will establish a new post at the UK Renal Registry, focusing on the collection of data on young kidney patients, in memory of Dr Tony Wing, who had a leading role in developing kidney units around the UK.

Dr Wing, who was born in Oxford and studied at Oxford University ’s Lincoln College, passed away in January.
