Sheep rescued from river
7:11pm Sunday 16th September 2012 in News By Francesca Bardsley
Firefighters got kitted out in ‘dry suits’ and buoyancy aids to rescue a sheep from a river in North Leigh.
They were called at 4.29pm today to water near the Roman Villa in East End after a passerby spotted a sheep stuck in the river.
The sheep was safely removed from the river.
Firefighters were unable to identify the sheep’s owner.
They contacted the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
