Five hurt in two-car crash

FIVE people were taken to hospital with minor injuries after a two-car crash on Oxford's Eastern Bypass.

The accident happened near Headington Quarry at 6.45pm on Thursday.

Five ambulances and one ambulance officer attended and took the victims to the John Radcliffe Hospital .

The ambulance service said the injured suffered neck and head injuries.

One lane of the Eastern Bypass was closed for about an hour for the vehicles to be recovered.
