REAL ale drinkers enjoyed an added drop of sunshine with their pints this weekend at the Mason’s Arms annual beer festival.
The pub, in Quarry School Place, Headington, was host to about 45 barrels of ale from across the country, including eight top award winners from the British Beer Festival.
Real ale fan Matt Bullock was among those washing down his pint while enjoying a spot of good weather in the pub garden.
Landlord Chris Meeson, whose recommended pint was Mauldons Blackberry Porter at 4.5 per cent, said it had been a great day.
He said: “It was crazy. We sold out of everything within 18 hours of opening.
“I really think the weather helped.
“We are already planning next year, which we hope will be bigger and even better.”
