A MAN was arrested after a group of people in a car in Bicester were allegedly threatened with a gun, police have said.
Officers were called to Market End Way at 7.07pm on Friday to reports of an argument taking place in the road between a man and the occupants of the vehicle.
Police are investigating reports the man threatened the group with a weapon, believed to be an air gun.
A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and three air weapons were later found in a house in Market End Way.
Pc Keith Devonish said: “Incidents of this nature are very rare in Bicester and we would like to reassure residents that we believe this is an isolated incident.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who saw the incident or has any information which may help with our enquiries. We are also keen to speak to the people in the car.”
The man has been released on bail until Saturday, July 7.
