BICESTER marked its twinning link with Germany and France with an Olympics-themed event.
The town staged athletic events to celebrate its 30th twinning anniversary with Neunkirchen-Seelscheid, Germany, and 20 years with Canton des Essarts, France.
Among those taking part at Bicester Community College was Alex Loubser, six. The Glory Farm pupil went along with his sister Jessica, eight, mother Lenka and father Elbert Loubser.
Mrs Loubser said: “We hosted one of the French families so we decided to go along to the day with them. We were very sad to see them go. The children had a lot of fun.”
The twinning celebrations began on Friday with a celebration dinner for all of the visiting families.
This was followed on Saturday with a barbecue and the mini Olympics event, and a visit to the Olympic Park in London on Sunday, before a celebratory farewell breakfast yesterday.
