SCOUTS swapped Oxford’s German twin town of Bonn for the dreaming spires of Oxford on a friendship visit.
Thirteen scouts from Bonn were given a tour of Oxford and the county as part of moves to build links between Scouts in the two cities. Among the visitors was Christoph Meurer, 30, who said: “The Scouts here in Oxford have done so much for us and put together such a good programme.
“We were very impressed by the lovely countryside.
“The idea is that we could build a relationship between Scouts here and in Bonn.”
The German Scouts were welcomed to the city by assistant county commissioner Bill Butcher.
