Nigel Amis, 36, of Headley Way, Oxford, admitted three counts of assault by beating and possession of cannabis (Class B) in Oxford on February 5. Given two years’ supervision and told to attend the community domestic-violence programme for 10 days. Also told to pay £85 costs.
Duarte Viveiros, 28, of Ashdown Way, Grove, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause a fear of violence in Grove on January 29. Given a year’s supervision with 200 hours’ unpaid work and told to pay £85 costs.
Luke Alford, 23, of Grebe Close, Abingdon, admitted possessing 23.9 grams of cannabis (Class B) with intent to supply in Abingdon on December 13. Jailed for a week because “offence committed while on bail and two cautions for similar matter”.
Hayley Bishop, 26, of Town Close, Sutton Courtenay, admitted fraud by opening a Next Directory account in the name of Josephine Allen to make a gain of £1,224.73 between September 20, 2010, and March 17, 2011. Admitted making a false instrument, a cheque for £1,060, to induce staff from Next Directory to accept it as genuine on Febraury 23, 2011. Admitted making a false instrument, a cheque for £2,000, to induce staff from Next Directory to accept it as genuine on March 4, 2011. Given 200 hours’ unpaid work and told to pay £1,224.73 compensation.
Faisal Shabbir, 29, of Titup Hall Drive, Oxford, convicted of assault by beating in Oxford on September 22. Given 12 months’ supervision and told to do 80 hours’ unpaid work. Three-year restraining order made and told to pay £775 costs.
Jordan White, 18, of Mortimer Road, Oxford, admitted failing to comply with a supervision order by failing to comply with a youth rehabilitation order and unpaid work on six occasions in February. Fined £25 and a £15 victims’ surcharge.
Jade Slater, 18, of Cottesmore Road, Oxford, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £40 costs.
Luke Tansley, 26, of Nuffield Close, Didcot, convicted of assault by beating in Didcot on July 31. Told to participate in the community domestic violence programme for a year with two years’ supervision. Told to pay £700 costs.
Chris McKenzie, 22, of Saxton Road, Abingdon, convicted of assault by beating in Abingdon on May 19 and failing to surrender to court bail on March 27. Given a year’s supervision and told to attend the control of violence for angry impulsive drinkers (COVAID) course for 11 days. Told to pay £50 compensation and £150.
Jose Phillips, 50, of no fixed address, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress on February 16 and being drunk and disorderly in Woodstock Road, Oxford, on March 27. Also admitted failing to surrender to court bail on March 27. Fined £150 and a £15 victims’ surcharge.
Jhony Farias, 34, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted shoplifting four pairs of Levi jeans valued at £300 from Debenhams in Oxford on March 28 and three pairs of Levi jeans valued at £255 from the same shop on March 12. Jailed for 16 weeks due to “previous convictions and and offence committed while on a deferred sentence”.
Kiril Ivanov, 31, of Hollow Way, Oxford, admitted assault by beating in Oxford on March 3. Told to pay £100 compensation and £85 costs.
