PLANS for the long awaited £5m redevelopment of Bicester’s community hospital have been revealed.
NHS Oxfordshire announced Kajima Mansell will build a new 12-bed hospital behind the current facility, and once open the old hospital will be demolished and replaced with 14 two and three bedroom houses.
The new two-storey hospital will be built to the highest eco standards with rainwater harvesting, solar panels, a solar chimney, natural lighting and ventilation, using local materials.
Services will include 12 in-patient beds, x-ray, therapies including physio, first aid and ultra sound.
