James Davdison (Oxford Mail, April 2) asserts CCTV cameras that the Oxford council wishes to install in taxis “are to protect customer and driver and will be only accessible to the relevant authorities”, he should have added also “Uncle Tom Cobley and all”.
What a trusting soul Mr Davidson is.
Also that taxi drivers who object should have their hackney carriage licences withdrawn – this is England, not Russia!
I suggest Mr Davidson emigrates to Russia. It would be more to his liking!
However, Mr Davidson is a mine of information on this matter. Perhaps I smell vested interest!
