HEADINGTON Preparatory School will build a two-storey entrance foyer and extend its kitchen.
Planning permission was granted this week.
A new look for the Wilkinson and Moore building, which has been on the site since 1880, will include a sweeping two-storey glazed entrance foyer.
Further extensions will provide additional space for a kitchen, store, teaching space and cloakroom, and there will also be a new entrance lobby at the back of the building.
The plans received one objection from a member of the public.
The letter from a nearby resident in The Croft, London Road, Oxford, said that the building would be “ugly and discordant”.
But councillors granted permission after adding a sustainability condition, which challenge the developer to incorporate green measures.
