I AGREE with Van Coulter (Oxford Mail ViewPoints, March 28), that the Government is committed to raising public housing rents to 80 per cent of the housing private sector.
This policy was set up by the previous Labour Government. So much for the coalition being different.
Prime Minister David Cameron wants to reduce housing benefit, so to do this he increases public housing rents, which increases the need for housing benefit.
There is a word for this – daft.
