THE teenager accused of murdering Aaron Buron has appeared at Oxford Crown Court.

Haydan O’Callaghan did not apply for bail in front of Judge Anthony Kind this morning and will next appear at the court in June.

The 18-year-old is accused of killing 29-year-old Mr Buron in St Martin’s Road, Rose Hill, on Saturday night.

He is also charged with causing actual bodily harm to Latasha Peck shortly before.

Prosectuor Jonathan Stone said: “The defendant is charged with the murder of Aaron Buron and an assault during the same period of time on a young lady, Latasha Peck, very recently of course, on Saturday, March 31.”

O’Callaghan, of Saunders Road, East Oxford, spoke only to confirm his name.

He is next set to appear at the court on Wednesday, June 13, to enter his pleas.

A two-week trial has been provisionally scheduled to begin on Monday, September 10.

Stephen Parker, defending, said: “I have no observations on the dates put forward and there is no bail application to be put forward today.”

Mr Buron, of St Martin's Road, died from stab wounds to the chest.
