A 28-year-old man has appeared in court charged with an armed robbery in the town.
James Allan, of Hanson Road, appeared before Oxford magistrates yesterday. He is accused of robbing Angela Croke at Martins Newsagents in Northcourt Road, of £134.98, possessing an imitation firearm and criminal damage on Friday.
Allan was not required to enter a plea and was remanded in custody until he appears at Oxford Crown Court on Monday.
