Young sports fans spent hours perfecting Oxford’s homage to the Olympics.
The Museum of Oxford invited families to the Oxford Town Hall to work on a series of London 2012 mosaics.
The huge pieces of art, will go on display at the Town Hall in St Aldate’s, at the Oxford’s Sporting Past exhibition in The Gallery from June.
Among the nimble fingered artists was five-year-old Jessica Roberts, of East Oxford, pictured, who went long to the museum with sister Alexia, eight.
Her mother Charlotte Roberts said the whole family was looking forward to the Olympics, especially as they had managed to snap up tickets for several events in the second ballot.
She said: “Both of the girls are keen swimmers and Jessica is a bit obsessional about the athlete Jessica Ennis.
“We think it’s because they share the same name.
“We have managed to get tickets for the athletics, basketball and, believe it or not, the girls also chose weight lifting.
“We’re all very excited about it.”
