In your first year of college? Struggling with the work load? Don't fit in very well or haven't made many new friend's? keep reading!
We all know that new people can be quite scary and that a new environment can be tricky to get used to but once you've made that first step and made a friend, everything just fall's into place. Here are just five easy steps to ace that class and become a social butterfly; 1) DEADLINES!! No matter how small the project or task, make sure you never procrastonate, putting work off untill the last minuite is never a good idea, it will just build up and you wont be able to handel it. So get that work done as soon as it is set.
2) Get involved. There's no better way to make new friends than to join in with other student's in extra curricular activities, even if it's something you have never tried before. you never know you might enjoy it aswell as making new friend's and picking up a few new skills. (Coulsdon college have a great range of enrichment courses that you can find out about from your tutors or on moodle).
3) Revise. It 's never too early to start revising as summer may seem like a life time away but revising little and often will get you a long way and relieve you of all that stress of last minute cramming the night before when you could be having fun or relaxing with friend's.
4) Visit the cafe. The cafe is situated on the top floor and is bursting with energy during lunch time. This can be a great opitiunity to meet some new people or to hang with friend's and grab a snack or hot chocolate.
