Yousif Shahab’s hat-trick helped Sutton Revolution turn their form around as they beat Tilehurst Titans 5-3 in the Berks & Bucks Sunday Junior Cup second round.
After picking up only one point in Division 1 of the Critchleys UTV League this season, Sutton sped 4-0 ahead at half-time thanks to Shahab’s treble and a goal from Chris Shahab.
Titans, unbeaten leaders of Reading League Division 2, fought back to make it 4-3 before Jason Fisher wrapped it up for Sutton.
Saxton Pirates came from behind twice to beat Barton Rovers 3-2 thanks to Paul Moran (2) and a penalty from 40-year-old Kev Secker.
Matthew Leach was a hat-trick hero as Cholsey swept aside Berkshire Arms 5-0.
Martin Dawson and James Ham completed the rout.
The all-UTV League clash saw Rutherford run out 1-0 winners over Research Machines, with Kearan Russell netting the only goal.
