Nathan Blackwell’s double saw Freeland upset the formbook with a 2-1 home win over Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division leaders Adderbury Park.

He opened the scoring when his 25-yard drive squirmed through young Adderbury keeper Charlie Wise’s legs and over the line before the break.

Liam Garrett pounced on a loose ball to equalise ten minutes into the second half.

But Blackwell grabbed the winner for Freeland from the penalty spot after a rash challenge on Neil Howe.

Wayne Desmond scored twice as Garsington won 4-3 at Marston Saints.

Matt Holton gave Marston the lead, but then some calamitous defending saw Garsington race 4-1 ahead with Joe Cook and Aaron Barrett adding to Desmond’s double.

Tom Payne and Paddy Cope reduced the deficit in the second half, but Garsington held on.

Andy Kirtland rolled back the years with a 25-yard rocket in Horspath’s 3-1 home win over Slade Farm.

A Johnny Maskins penalty had given Horspath the lead, before Lee Clack equalised.

But Kirtland put Horspath back on track, and Lance Shaw slotted home to seal the points.
