Brentford boss Uwe Rosler is looking to bring one or two more players when the loan transfer window re-opens next week.
The Bees chief added Watford’s Adam Thompson and Leeds United striker Mike Grella in the build up to transfer deadline day, but a further deal hit the buffers on the day itself.
But that has not put Rosler off strengthening his squad in a week’s time.
“We couldn’t finalise a deal on the final day for one reason or another, but we didn’t want to panic and get someone else,” he said.
“We can wait and when the window opens we will get at least one more, maybe two.”
Rosler’s men bounced back from Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to Tranmere Rovers with a Johnstone’s Paint Trophy triumph at League One leaders MK Dons, thanks – in part – to a brace from Gary Alexander.
“Gary is important to the way we play. It gives him and the team confidence to add goals to that now,” added the manager.
