OXFORDSHIRE Ladies suffered a first-round exit in the John’s Trophy with a 120-102 defeat by Buckinghamshire at Prince Risborough.
Oxon won on three of the six rinks, but lost on the other three with Katherine Hawes’s heavy 29-10 defeat proving pivotal.
Gail Hunter skipped Oxon’s best winning rink with a 22-12 victory over Mary Price.
Jenny Gleeson, who triumphed 20-17, and Caroline Campion, who squeezed home 21-20, were Oxon’s other winning skips.
