TREVOR Simms took 5-9 as Sandford St Martin 2nd defeated Wolverton 2nd for their first win of the Division 6 campaign.
Simms’s haul helped dismiss Wolverton for 145, Roger Garrini (31) the only batsman to pass 30.
Jim Howe (62no) and Mark Cook (42no) steered Sandford to 146-2.
In Division 7, Bicester & North Oxford 2nd beat Wallingford 2nd by nine wickets.
Kishan Dave took 3-42 in Wallingford’s 153-7, Martin Ridley hitting 47 and Rickey Prescott 33.
Joe Joynson (62no) and Dave Clark (53no) teamed up in Bicester’s 154-1.
Nick Babington’s superb 8-17 set up Chearsley 2nd’s ten-wicket victory over Kimble 2nd.
Kimble were all out for 72 before Mark Claridge hit 40 not out in Chearsley’s 75-0.
An unbeaten century from Dennis Lanham (103no) could not quite force victory for Abingdon Vale 3rd, who closed on 186-5 when chasing Kingston Bagpuize 2nd’s 197-6.
