OXFORD Harlequins director of rugby John Brodley says they will follow the old cliché and take it one game at a time this weekend.

Quins host Barnstaple in a rearranged National 3 South West clash tomorrow then visit Witney in the Oxfordshire Cup quarter-finals on Sunday.

Brodley said: “All our thoughts are on the league game on Saturday.

“After that and the seconds match, we will pick the side for Sunday.

“The players are totally committed and supportive of county rugby. It is our intention to field the strongest side that we can get out.

“We are looking forward to Saturday and we’ll worry about Sunday after that.”

Against Barnstaple, Brodley’s men will be without scrum half Anthony Cope, who is in New Zealand for the wedding of his brother Jamie – the former Quins flanker.

Alasdair Maspero takes over from Cope, while flanker Ryan Newman returns from injury.

Fly half Jeff Stewart is still doubtful, so Joey Todd is on standby to make his first start.

Another academy player, Harry Burn who scored three tries for the seconds last week, comes in on the bench.

Chinnor’s unbeaten home record should face its toughest test against title favourites Hartpury College.

They add utility forward Harry Jackman to the squad.

Wing Christoph Bart returns for Henley Hawks’ maiden trip to Hinckley in National 2 South, while Neil Baggett moves to centre to replace the unavailable Ali James.

Lock Tom Evans should be fit after missing the win at Lydney, while prop Rowan Fuller returns on the bench.

Wing Max Winpenny could make his Witney debut at home to High Wycombe in South West 1 East after replacing the injured Lewis Collins.

Back-rower Trent Matchett comes in, while fellow forward Jez Hicks is very doubtful with a shoulder injury.

Wallingford are without a game, while Banbury visit Stratford-upon-Avon in Midlands 1 West, looking to build on their second win of the season last time out.
