OXFORD have pulled out of Sunday’s Oxfordshire Cup quarter-final against Grove due to a lack of front-row replacements.
Grove get a bye into the semi-finals and must now await the draw to learn their opponents.
Oxford, who don’t have a Southern Counties North game tomorrow, have been hit hard by injuries, according to head coach Alan Hancock.
“We have got something like eight injuries,” said Hancock. “It is everything from hamstrings to shoulders to cuts.
“We hope to be ready to face Wootton Bassett next Saturday.”
Last year’s losing finalists Witney host Oxford Harlequins in their last eight tie on Sunday.
Witney joint coach John Campbell (pictured) said: “We’ll pick from a squad on Saturday night. It will be a case of whoever’s standing.
“It is a shame that the cup has come to this, but there is just no time left in the season.”
A date has yet to be confirmed for Chinnor’s home tie with Henley Hawks.
Alchester host Bicester tomorrow in an Oxfordshire Shield quarter-final, which is a double-header with their BB&O Premier Division match.
