A MAINTENANCE worker was taken to hospital today as a precaution, after breathing in chlorine gas created when mixing chemicals for a therapeutic spa.
Firefighters were called to Helen House hospice, in Leopold Street, East Oxford, shortly after 8am and were on stand-by in Jeune Street.
The man had minor breathing difficulties and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Headington for a check-up. No-one else was injured.
