Grove head coach Nathan Brooks was happy with his side’s efforts against Newbury Stags.
He said: “In the conditions, I don’t think we could have expected anything other than a scrappy game.
“I thought we created enough chances in the first half, but it is difficult to be clinical in wind like that.
“We gave ourselves a mountain to climb, but the second-half performance was solid.
“I don’t think they looked like scoring. It was only our mistakes that made them look dangerous.
“I said in the second half, the key was to keep the ball, which we did better than in the first half.
“We could have been out of sight at half-time with the chances we created.”
