TWO childhood friends of Oxford teenager Godwin Lawson have told a court they were attacked without warning.
Oxford United Football and Education Academy member Godwin, 17, was stabbed in the heart by a gang of young men in east London, it is claimed.
He had travelled from Oxford for a weekend visit to see friends in the capital.
His friend Daniel Borja told an Old Bailey jury they were walking home together in Hackney on March 27 last year.
He told jurors that his brother Julian, 20, was attacked by a man in a balaclava. He said he then saw Godwin walking from the road before collapsing.
It is claimed Moise Avorgah, 20, Daniel Riley, 22, Koffi Osimeh, 19, and Matthew Lanihun, 20, are all responsible for the killing.
The men, from London, all deny murder, two counts of attempted murder and two counts of the alternative charge of wounding with intent.
The trial continues.
