OXFORD University students claim to be the “worst behaved in Britain”, according to a new study.
Undergraduates at the university boasted they behaved more “oafishly” than other students and regularly drank too much.
About 30 per cent admitted that, at least once a week, they drank so much wine and beer that they would urinate or vomit in public.
Roughly three-quarters said they were sexually promiscuous and the poll found those studying medicine, law and history were the worst offenders.
The survey of 1,500 students was conducted by MTV.co.uk Academic pressure and the “unrealistic” expectations of parents were the reasons given for such behaviour.
The survey was conducted in Gloucestershire, Bristol, Oxford, Bournemouth, Essex, Manchester, Leeds Met and Leicester universities.
