A bid for a judicial review over the decision to grant permission for Oxford Brookes University’s £132m campus redevelopment has been rejected by the High Court.
Retired property manager Martin Young, above, applied for a review against Oxford City Council’s decision to allow a library and teaching building on Brookes’ Gipsy Lane campus. He argued the council did not properly consider noise issues and the creation of shops.
But the High Court refused the application and ordered him to pay costs of £5,720.
Mr Young, 65, of Headington Hill, said he might seek a full hearing, giving him the opportunity to apply for a judicial review in person.
