I WOULD like to thank the Oxford Mail for its support of our charity football tournament to raise money for Pakistan flood relief, which took place earlier this month (Mail, October 11). It was very helpful.
We would also like to thank the players and everyone who was part of the event, which netted £3,632.00.
I would particularly like to thank the main organisers Wally Dogar, Shajaat Hussain and Idrees Khan, who worked very hard for this event.
I would also like to congratulate Zaffar Hussain, the captain of the Los Blancos team, who won the tournament 4:0 against Thames Valley Police.
The player of the tournament was Aftab Hafiz, top scorer was Abdal Khan, the most proved player of the tournament was Suhayl Ali, and the best referee of the tournament was Wally Dogar.
Mumtaz Fareed, Chairman, Asian Cultural Centre Association, Oxford
