Divisions 2 & 3

Research Machines lost top spot in Division 2 after a surprise 3-1 defeat by Wallingford Exiles.

James Evans, Dave Cheeseman and Sabri Veseli were on target for Exiles, Stu Coppock replying from the penalty spot.

Oxford FC took over at the top with a 5-1 home win against Abba Athletic, thanks to strikes from Ali Jodet (2), Craig Chitambo, Sow Lamine and Andrew Pantry. Lee Clack was the Abba scorer.

AFC Jericho came from two goals down to win 3-2 at Mansfield Road, thanks to second-half scores from Josh Hughes, Jack Hayhurst and Aaron Williams.

Didcot Casuals had defender Dave Wyatt sent off early on in a 4-1 home defeat by Brightwell, for whom Andy Gibbons hit a brace and George Elftheroiu plus a 20-yarder from Dan Keller completed the scoring. In-form Johnny Eudell hit Casuals’ reply.

Ian Redmond netted a treble for Rutherford Lab, but still ended up on the losing side as his team lost 9-4 at home to Saxton Pirates.

Shaun Gilsenan (3), Joffy Cummings, Paul Druce, Dean Costar, Ben Parry, Richard Willans and Jamie Gaff all found the back of the Rutherford net. Barry Jenkins was the other Lab scorer.

Jimmy Deabill smashed a four-timer in a 9-0 drubbing of Northway to send Blacks Head Bletchingdon five points clear at the top of Division 3A.

Chris Thorne and Gary Pearson both grabbed doubles for the leaders, Andy Wheeler completing the rout.

Cholsey United’s sixth Division 3B victory in a row saw them thrash winless Chatsworth Buccaneers 12-0.

Top marksman Andy Allum smashed four, with others coming from Darryl Franklin (3), Joe Prior (2) , Clive Perryman, Paul Hessey and Michael Littleworth.
